The Miles for Michael Fund of The Luzerne
Foundation is a way for family and friends to
remember the selflessness and community service
of Duryea resident Michael Joyce, the president
of Joyce Financial Group who passed away from
cancer on June 28, 2006. The Fund will support
the needs of cancer patients and their families
for unexpected expenses such as travel, lodging,
gas and tolls so that families can remain
together during treatment and recovery.
The proceeds of this fund are used to support
families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. If
