FAMILY FUN DAY & SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Pittston Police Association will hold the 3rd Annual Softball Tournament from August 31st through September 6th. This year the tournament proceeds will be donated to Miles for Michael. As usual the tournament will be hosted by the Jenkins Township Little League.

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever. Aside from the Softball Tournament, on Saturday, September 5th the Jenkins Township Little League will be converted into an exciting Family Fun Day extravaganza! I

In addition to the softball games going on all day, there will be pony rides, face painting, a sand art project table, hair weaving, ice cream trucks, water war battles, moon bounce, Chinese auction, delicious food & much more.  We will also be taking our memorial Miles for Michael walk around the field in honor of Michael Joyce whose dream was to continue helping others long after he lost his personal battle with cancer.

This year the tournament will be split into two divisions, the pro’s and the semi-pro’s, so start gathering up those former athletes and get your roster together. The tournament is limited to TWENTY teams. The entrance fee per team is $40.00 and each team is responsible for selling 100 raffle tickets. The prizes on the raffle tickets include: 46” Flat Screen TV, Mini Laptop Computer, Nintendo Wii, 16 GB IPod Touch and $250.00 Cash. Raffle tickets will also be available for sale at Joyce Insurance at 9 N. Main St., Pittston and the Pittston City Police Department at 35 Broad St., Pittston. The first TWENTY teams to send in their entrance fee will be the teams participating in the tournament, so don’t delay!

We will have a stand at the Pittston Tomato Festival for the purchase of t-shirts for our exciting event. Childrens' shirts will be $5.00 and Adult shirts will be $10.00. You will also receive a Miles for Michael Wristband and Pin with the purchase of each t-shirt. Coming from Wilkes-Barre/Dallas
Take River Road North
Turns into Main Street in Port Griffith (Port Auto is on the right)
Go approximately 1 mile and turn right onto May Street
Go straight at the stop sign and Jenkins Township Little League Field will be on the right at the top of the hill
 

Driving on 81 North (from the South)
Take the Pittston exit (175)
At the light get onto 315 North and merge into the left lane
At the next light make a left onto Oak Street
Follow Oak Street until it dead ends into the Pittston Bypass
Make a right onto the Pittston Bypass
At the first light make a left onto William Street
Follow William Street until it dead ends into Kennedy Boulevard
Make a left onto Kennedy Boulevard
Go to the end of Kennedy Boulevard and bear right at the stop sign
Follow Main Street Pittston to the fork in the road and bear right
Drive approximately .75 mile and turn right onto May Street
Go straight at the s top sign and Jenkins Township Little League Field will be on the right at the top of the hill

Driving on 81 South (from the North)
Take the Pittston exit (175A)
Merge onto 315 South
At the first light make a right onto Oak Street
Follow Oak Street until it dead ends into the Pittston Bypass
Make a right onto the Pittston Bypass
At the first light make a left onto William Street
Follow William Street until it dead ends into Kennedy Boulevard
Make a left onto Kennedy Boulevard
